Setup

Register and send email to account@edecree.com to request Dial In account
24 hours to set up a dial in account after receiving the request
A toll-free number and unique user ID number is provided at the end of the setup process

Steps to use Dial-in Dictation service after Setup
|
- Call the 1-800 toll free number provided by eDecree
- US & Canada (Primary) - 1-866-377-0840 (Toll Free) or 1-604-677-0840 (Direct)
- US & Canada (Secondary)- 1-877-800-8810 (Toll Free) or 1-604-630-1213 (Direct)
- UK - 0800-310-1855 (Toll Free)
- Enter the user ID number following by the # key. During your first use of the system, you will be given the option to record your name and a password. If you wish to use the password feature, please ensure you keep this password in a secure place. It takes 24 hours to have your password reset in case you misplace it.
- Enter a work type to indicate the turnaround time to eDecree followed by the # key.
- 1 for 24 hour turnaround
- 2 for up to 1 week turnaround
- 3 for greater than 1 week turnaround
- If no report identifier is entered, we will assume that it is 24 hour turnaround
- Enter a Patient Chart number. (optional) The number you enter here will be used to name your word document once it has been typed up. You can bypass it using the # key.
- Begin dictation
- Hanging up will automatically end the dictation and send it to eDecree for processing
- If the user requires a confirmation number for personal records, they can do so as well using *1 as described below

Navigating dictation (Advanced Steps)
|
You can choose to navigate the dictation system similar to the way you would navigate a dictaphone:

Playback |
Touch 1 to playback the dictation from the beginning. Touch 7 to fast forward the playback by 7 seconds. Touch 0 to overwrite the recording at the point of playback. |

Touch 2 to continue recording. |

Touch 3 to review (playback) the last 5 seconds and immediately continue recording. |

Pause |
Touch 4 to pause recording and touch 2 to continue recording. |

Complete |
Touch 5 to complete the current dictation and begin a new dictation. The caller will again be prompted for the work type and patient id. |

Go to end |
Touch 6 to go to the end of the file. |
| 7 |
Fast forward |
Touch 7 to fast forward the playback by 7 seconds. |

Go to beginning |
Touch 8 to complete the current dictation and begin a new dictation. The caller will again be prompted for the work type and patient id. |

Disconnect |
Touch 9 to disconnect. |

Overwrite |
Touch 0 to overwrite the recording at the point of playback. |

Confirmation # |
Touch * and 1 to hear the unique confirmation for the current dictation before touching 5 to end. This confirmation code can be used to locate a voice file on the dictation server. |

Touch * and 2 to overwrite the audio at the last point of playback. |

Insert Audio |
Touch * and 3 to insert audio at the last point of playback. |

Set Priority |
Touch * and 4 to set a priority. Immediately after pressing *4, the caller must touch a button between 1 and 3. 1 means high priority, 2 means medium priority (the default), 3 means low priority. For example, to set a dictation at high priority the caller will touch *41. By default all dictations are set at medium priority. |
